According to the shirt, "I Kicked Arsch at Germanfest Sheepshead". Yeah, that's right, I won the Saturday 10pm Tournament (+33). Most of the usual card monsters were in attendance. The Jeff & Mike Show, "Super Mario" Ray, Big Tom, Bob T, NoCheatChris, Dave The Jet (I just found out he used to work where the lower cased one and I now are consultants), Pete The Ref, Bruce, etc. Jeff won the Saturday 9pm Tourney (+23); Mike won the Saturday 4pm (+20, I think); Ray won the Friday 1pm opener (+31); NoCheatChris won the Saturday 6pm Tourney (+20). Bob T is usually good for two Tourney hour wins, but is scoreless this year. The Jet has been shut out as well. One more day to go. I'm expecting The Jeff & Mike show to pick up at least one more win on Sunday as old-timer Mike has a load of wins under his belt and Jeff is about as smooth of a card player as they go. I didn't catch the overall high score, but I saw a +40 and I thought I saw a +41 (it could have been +43). Jeez, where's my head? I'll get some proper Tourney stats and post them up Sunday or Monday. My older brother (the no-blog network engineer) is gonna hang out and play on Sunday for a few hours. I'm expecting good things from him, but I will not be the HOME TEAM on Sunday (read the post). Before I forget, I posted Tourney particulars in Don't eat the Schnitzel; they're using Schnauzer and forgot to mention that this Tournament is played as Traditional Sheepshead without any Crack/No-Crack rules in effect.
Here's a shot of the tourney location. Today's weather was a bit humid, but 75-85 degrees with a nice breeze off of Lake Michigan.
These are my Saturday Tourney scores (with the 1pm and 9pm scores comparable to 2-day old roadkill in all physical observable manner). Higher is better:

Light cigar #2. Arturo Fuente Torpedo. Bad pull, lousy smoke for a card game. Last one in my humidor. Good riddance. |

Lost the table. I deserve THE SAUSAGE for that lousy play. |

Won the table. Won the hour. Everyone else sucks, I rule. Bob T got THE SAUSAGE at Table 8. |
All of that and I end Saturday +2. The +2 is a personal tally. To give you an idea of personal tally scoring, "Super Mario" Ray had a two day total of +101 going into the Saturday 10pm session (and then sat at my table where I smacked everyone). The guy had only two losing sessions Saturday (of course I had four losers Saturday, but three were massive losses). Way to go Ray.
The tournament counts table wins (get a pin and a deck of Milwaukee Germanfest cards), table losses (win a piece of sausage; "losers take THE SAUSAGE") and Tournament hourly wins (a plaque and a polo shirt with the above mentioned statement). The hourly winners have to pose with their shirt and plaque for a Polaroid that is placed on the Tournament Score Board. For those that are interested, I only had two alone no-trickers; one in the 3pm session and one in the 10pm session.
As an hourly winner, my name goes into the Grand Prize drawing. Ok, I have to say, that if I win the Grand Prize, then this is a very cool prize, but if I don't win, then it is just a dumb $100 gift certificate for Best Buy that some other lucky bozo won. Wait a tick; Bozo is my cards "name" (check the Board).
